I wish I were a butterfly, with bright golden wings,

I'd land on cool leaves, I'd hear the birds sing,

I'd fly in the air, as light as light can be,

I'd dance and I'd play in graceful reverie.

If I were a butterfly, I'd lay in the sun,

    in the warmth of the day, until it is done,

I'd kiss the sweet earth, with kisses of light,

I'd laugh through the hours of love and delight.
