Sometimes when I am half-asleep,
I think I see there in the dark,
A group of tiny glistening lights,
that dip and rise, that stop and start.
They do not speak or make a sound,
yet silently they do convey,
A love so gentle and so sweet,
it makes my fear all go away.
Indeed, they tell me without words,
that they are here to help me know,
The path of light to walk upon,
The path of truth to guide my soul.
Whatever I may grow to be,
however strong, however smart,
These bright Ones will be guiding me,
and speaking to my listening heart.
