O bright one, you may feel
your wings have grown dull
and no longer shine as they used to,
yet, this covering that hides your
radiance is of the thinnest fabric,
and when it is time for you
to be revealed it will be sloughed off
like the skin of a creature
that molts and is made new.
So, too, will you become a new
being, revealing what has always
been beneath the covering,
the shining light of your spirit
and your essence that is Love.
