Shall we not embrace each other,
    and hold each other,
    and love each other,
with all the fervor of beloveds
who have long been apart
who now reunite for the first time?

Our eyes shall see new things
    in the faces of those we know.
We shall adore them in place
    of the neutrality or indifference
    that may have been present before.

Our hearts shall be filled with adoration,
not simply for another being, but for
    the gift of life itself
    and for the Giver.
All that is alive shall stand up
    and praise the Source of Life,
    for those who have felt themselves
    to be alone shall now find themselves
    to be One at last.
