When all creatures are known to be
    creations of the Divine,
    it will be impossible to cause suffering to others.
We will be unable to harm the small creatures
of the Earth or the Earth itself,
    knowing sacred life to be everywhere
    and treasuring that life with the full force
    of our soul’s love.
What has been acceptable as common practice
toward the humble creatures of the Earth,
    used for our own purposes,
    will no longer be acceptable,
    and we will find new ways of meeting
    the needs of our time,
    other than by causing harm.
New motivations shall spring up
    and cause new solutions to be found
    for old problems,
and the way of upholding the life of the Earth
    shall be discovered in the ways
    in which we uphold each sacred life.
