In the beginning was the Word, one Word,

that gave rise to all things.

This word was Truth and it contained all sound,

all knowledge, all words within itself.

Out of the Word came all the words of all the languages

that would ever come into being, each containing

part of the truth of the One Word.

Out of this Word came all the cultures and societies

and perspectives that would ever come into being,

each reflecting a portion of the One Word.

The Word that was One gave rise to the words

that are many, and each word contained a portion

of truth but not the whole.

Each language contained a portion of truth but not

the whole.

Each society contained a portion of truth but not

the whole.

And yet the One Word vibrated within each of these

languages, and cultures, and societies.

It gave them meaning.

It gave them the truth that each carried.

I bow before Divine Being which is One.

I bow before Divine Widom which is One.

I bow before Divine Truth which is One.

I bow before Divine Love which is One.

I bow before the Divine Presence, the Self of All.

I bow to the Divine within.

I bow to the Wisdom within.

The One Word exists in the many words.

It waits to be found.

The One light burns in the many lights.

It waits to be seen.

The One Heart beats in the many hearts.

It waits to be felt.

The One Wisdom lives in the many wisdoms.

It waits for its peace to be fulfilled.

May the One Word that gives rise to all words find

its wholeness on Earth as in the heavens.

May the One Word that contains all words bring

peace where there is now discord.

May the union of the many in the One be accomplished

for all beings.
